This is truly a gem.  A rare, 1917-1919 Kodak No. 2A Autographic folding Brownie with original Box, works, uses 116 film.  This amazing, antique camera is $70.  Hey, I didn't know there was such a word as "Autographic".  I love it that this baby folds!  Even spell-check doesn't recognize it.  Means it's OLD.

This is a 1950's Heiland Research Syncronite Reflex Twin Flash with 11 new Westinghouse bulbs, all for $12!

This beautiful camera is a 1979-82 Nikon EM SLR camera with a E series 50 MM 1-1.8 lens.  It includes a manual, a Kalimar UV filter and is $30, which includes 7 rolls of 24 exposure 200 ASA color film.  The rolls alone are what?  Come-on, camera people?  I'm guessing at least $2 a roll?  I am going to look this up!

Another gorgeous mechanical creature--a 1940's GE Exposure meter Model BDW58Y1, and it works well! Oh, and it also has it's original case--how about that!

I have to admit that--without Dave Mandel's description--I wouldn't have had a  blessed idea what this was!  Ahem--it is a Konica X-24 Auto-Flash with it's original case (beautiful!) and carton (whoever owned this flash took good care of it!).  All for $12!

I just love looking at this lens.  There's something about one of these babies that just stirs the heart.  Beautiful, isn't it?  It is a Tokina ELZ840 80mm-200mm F-4 manual zoom lens with a bayonet-mount with it's original carton (and--that thing that protects it in the carton is included?  Amazing.  Anything in our household with it's original carton is dead--long dead because there is no such thing or if there is it's from the spirit world.   Such things are thought to be trash and are relegated to the trash.)  I have to say, I wonder--seriously--whether the same person owned all these cameras or whatever.  Every blessed thing in its own case including a bubble thingie.  To me that mean quality--someone taking good care of what they've got--loving it.  Quality!

A Polaroid!  Wow--I was in my teens and my father bought a Polaroid.  It looked nothing like this but just having one of these seemed a miracle.   Something about the name?  Nah--no original case--my father was worse with saving things--probably where I got the habit. Anyway, this is a Polaroid Sun 660 with a strap (I guess to sling it around your neck?) in it's original carton and with it's own manual!  Wow--amazing!  Battery packs available.  

Wonders Of The Turnabout!

Here we have a vintage travel case.  OK, those of you that like something with wheels will stick up your nose at this, granted, but if you have a background in the arts or know someone who does, perhaps they're putting on The Maltese Falcon this weekend and need this for Miss O'Shaughnessy to carry when she goes in to meet Sam Spade?

A glorious, unbelievably beautiful vase that's just crying for a dozen roses.

A set of lamps, vintage, perhaps, and they can go anywhere and there are two of them which makes them twice as good!

These are just a sample of a huge bunch of clothes that came into the shop this week.  I'm particularly taken with that pink jacket.  Isn't it lovely?

This coffee pot is made by Ginny and retail goes for around $75.  I must say I'm curious to see it!

This gorgeous thing is a vintage ice crusher.  How about that?

These are a whole collection of vintage Broadway show handouts--I bought one myself recently.  Wonderful and all of 25c for each one!

Father's Day is June 15, which will come before we know it.  Some fabulous and strange things show themselves here.  You know what your father likes.  Hopefully you'll find it here!

Other beautiful things for Father's Day--a marvelous suit, a shirt for warm climates, a sharp looking shirt that could go for both sport and dress and a beautiful sweater!
I am really impressed by each one.  That sport/dress shirt has a wonderful pattern; the shirt next to it is going right to Hawaii; the sweater because it looks yummy and warm goes to opposite parts of the world!

These cups and saucers and matching bowl are so beautiful I had to include them!

Beauties Of Every Description, To Wear, To Use And To Enjoy!

This is a beautiful jacket, as you can see.  It's an Italian leather jacket--gold in color which means it will go with just about everything.  Enjoy!

I know some of you have wonderful blossoms just the right size to grace these beauties.  I love flowers but know next to nothing as to how to properly show them off but those of you who do, you'll want these.

I can't believe this teapot set.  Isn't it glorious?  Isn't it marvelous?

Wonderful dresses for that special night on the town and they're perfect for this kind of weather on top of it.  

I've been told that these shoes are from some well-known brands, Bandalino, Ecco and Aerosole and that they're "gently worn".  The upper shelf has some good shoes hiding in the shadows, but I'll bet they're worth looking at too!

A wonderful collection of cards for graduation and father's day.  They are  a donation from Arlington Pharmacy, so you know they're good!

Right Out Of Old Europe!

An amazing selection of china--cups and saucers, a coffee pot and cream and sugar.  This looks like it's straight out of Gumps but the Turnabout has it!

Laces from old Europe plus some embroidery, perhaps done by a child?  I did one of these when I was about ten and how I wish I had it now!  If you are so inclined to wrap your fingers around a knitting needle or crochet needle or love to stitch you'll know what I mean.  Such jewels are to be saved and passed on to family members but we're lucky enough to have these.

Grapes of all kinds in a basket and wouldn't it look wonderful as a centerpiece on a small, round table by a window to serve coffee or tea to a friend?  I used to know someone with a table like that and she had it in just such a spot and it always brought to my mind how it must have been to live in the 1700's.

These glasses (with the rose!) are so beautiful!  Oh, wow, so glorious and isn't the rose a wonderful touch--thanks to Marty Gardiner!

A true feast here for the person who loves to knit or crotchet.  Come and run your hands through these beauties!

I am amazed, looking at this camera.  It's a box style--a Rollei made by Frankel and Heineke circa 1965.  Just the picture is worth displaying but to have the actual camera!  Thank you Marty for all these wonderful pictures!

SPECIAL TREASURES AT THE TURNABOUT!

I received all of these great pictures a half hour ago from one of our new shop managers and I do hope I'm right in identifying them because I haven't seen them in the flesh!  With that disclaimer in place, here, for your perusal, is a beautiful Gucci scarf!

This is a quilt and how marvelous it is.  We have a beautiful picture to show it off and I don't believe I need say one more thing to sing its praises!

Vintage ribbon and how many there are!  I just squirreled around in a couple of drawers at my home to find some ribbon for a gift I was sending to a friend and wouldn't I have loved to have some of these to choose from!

A dollhouse with a couple of little rocking chairs to choose from.  This looks perfect for a very little girl to play with!

It's coming close to prom time and we have some wonderful prom dresses, as you can see.

Two more wonderful prom dresses.  Have to warm you--these are small--even at age 17 I wouldn't have been able to get into either of these but we have other wonderful prom dresses and who knows, one may just may fit the important prom person in your life!
