Mystery, Double-Up Fun!

Hey, you know I love these double-up images. I found a bunch today which focus on a beautiful turquoise necklace. As usual, there are some mysteries here. A small green shelf is all the way to the right in the upper image, not to be seen in the lower. A necklace is cozing up to it in that upper image but is bereft and alone in the lower image. Put it out of its misery!
Not so much mystery here except for a green--maybe jade bracelet--in the top image not to be seen in the lower. The turquoise necklace is just peeking in on the right on the top.
OK, our ladies who know everything who run the shop decided that brown clasp Something is worth being displayed in this special double image. What does it hold? Secret papers from Lincoln's time? Nah; you tell me. Those interesting bracelets are now featured front and center all the way to the right and darn I don't think that bracelet is Jade.
My friend Pig is overlooking the special antique cupboard. Some new things here, people, some of them still on sale at 1/2 off! Don't ask me which ones. That's for you to discover. That's half the fun!
Our amazing, scrumptious Dollar Rack is up for the perusal of our amazing, fascinating Email Club! A lot of you like this rack. Don't be late in picking up a favorite garment at the amazing price of one dollar!

That CRAZY, WONDERFUL ONE HALF OFF SALE!

By now, you know about the sale tomorrow. Here is a little heads-up on what will be out there. I believe, everything from the next to the bottom shelf to the first shelf are ripe for the picking. What about the very top of the cabinet? I don't know--except for Pig, which is mine!
I believe this cabinet has some items on that 1/2 off sale but don't quote me on it. It's 6:35 PM and I'm a little foggy about what is actually on sale. I do believe there's some good things. I'm working tomorrow, so I'll fight you for them. (Really a no no, so don't panic, but I couldn't resist.)
Believe it or not, this usually off-limits cabinet behind the front counter is up for grabs! Yes! There are three small plates--two on the middle shelf on the left and one on the right on the top that I might fight you for if I could, especially at 1/2 off. Really lovely. Click on the image and you'll see what I mean. Also, down on the lower shelf toward the middle are a couple of little wedding goblets for the bride and groom next to a box to keep track of all the gifts and given that we're into April with June not far away and again, for 1/2 off, why not?
Sorry--nothing on that special 1/2 off sale here. Nada. Nothing. Hey, but our stuff is worth anything you pay!
As usual, our Dollar Rack has got some great stuff. I think there was a purple blouse on this rack on my last blog . How about that purple--lavender skirt to go with it?

Double Glory!

Don't you love this image? Things in double are fascinating. What's most interesting to me is that I didn't think I had this image at all. All the contortions I went through to try to get it and all for nought, I thought, and then voila! Magic! What's most fun to me is I catch some things in the upper image not available in the lower image.
Talk about contortions. At first I removed these two mirrors and took a couple of pictures. Diddly Squat--nothing--nada. So I put them back and no blinding flash obscured the picture (the reason the two beauties went in the first place)--just a lovely image. My recollection is that bracelet to the left is worth a look, as well as those earrings showing off for you, front and center.
This image refused to double up, and they're in the same cabinet. Sibling rivalry? Oh yes. Nice earrings to the left and some interesting chains. What is that necklace to the right announcing itself so rudely? Yikes!
Some new things here, a glass figurine of a rooster on the bottom shelf toward the left as well as some interesting plates. We are featuring that wonderful antique army coffee pot (all right, it's not a coffee pot but I can't think what else to call it) and it's marked down! Wonders will never cease!
What a panoply of color this Dollar Rack displays so proudly: pinks and reds and blues and purples. It's a rainbow!

You Won't Believe What You See!

First and foremost, this bowl. A true treasure, just click on the picture and feast your eyes.
Our antique wood case has got a host of new things: earrings, necklaces, rings and that wild white bead necklace at the top that looks like it's floating. Lovely.
You're seeing double--it's true. My camera caught a reflection of this case, filled with necklaces and bracelets, everyone a wonder! There's one mystery object next to that lovely green bead necklace. What is it?
Some wonderful chains, many sporting pendants and look at that pink bracelet way at the top!
The Dollar Rack, as usual, is filled with fabulous things--slacks and shirts, blouses and jackets. One pink blouse absolutely gleams, just waiting to be paired with a black velvet skirt or pants--and look at that green jacket!

January Is Looking Up!

I finally figured out I could take a picture of the jewelry case with the cover up which shows off more of this wonderful assortment. I particularly like the earrings on display. And our special sale on jewelry is still in force, Guys! Anything in this case or in the cabinet are 1/2 off.
Again I'm going to play my guessing game which I've done to smashingly poor results in the past but here goes anyway: all the way to top right, is that a squirrel's tail or a shell? I'm going to leave you to guess what the bar going across the bottom of the picture is. I know but I'm embarrassed to say.
Many lovely pieces of glass in this cupboard. No more need be said--just click on the picture and take a look! I misspoke last time and called some regular (although lovely) china cups demitasse cups but I really believe we've got quite an assortment of that very thing all the way to the right, fourth shelf from the bottom.
Pig is overseeing our antique cupboard, which always has some things that wouldn't be there if I took the time to shop when I take these pictures. I'm particularly fond of that deep rose color that makes me think of Minnesota in the Fall and all the way to the bottom right are some objects of that particular color you just might not find when you get there as I'm working today!
The Dollar Rack has lots of warm, yummy stuff to pile into at night when the wind is blowing and the temperature is down in the 30's and 40's as it's been lately. Brrrrrrr! When will it stop? Also, lots of jeans and other slacks--mostly women's I think--and every last thing on this rack can be had for for the altogether amazing price of one dollar!

JANUARY: TIME OF THE BLAHS!

I do think we have the blahs going strong in January after the excitement of Christmas and Hanukkah and New Years and that's why I'm showing this absolutely wonderful plate first. A little jolt of energy? Wonderful!
This little guy doesn't have the blahs. He's cold! Whatever is he doing out there without his parents? You know the movie--these little guys cuddle up to their parents (often their daddies) because where they come from it's cold!
I have a book given to me by one of my sons that had an early horse pictured in it and this picture reminds of it. Early horses were short and stocky. When, oh when, did you hear the word "stocky" meaning something good? This horse deserves a central place on your wall--he's that special!
Seldom have I been able to give Pig a central place on my blog page and here he's fighting with some nice things which perhaps you haven't seen, or if you have, you haven't given them your full attention. There's a lovely set of china, a lovely doll in its own case, lovely demitasse cups which just demand a whole set of stern ladies to enjoy them.
The Turnabout Dollar Rack with a whole lot of lovely skirts! Do come in and take a look!

Turnabout Party Offerings!

I arrived at the Turnabout yesterday to take these pictures and found a party in full swing. No booze--just a bunch of ladies oohing and awing over the offerings. Over the weekend a full contingent of ladies had come into the shop and put out an amazing group of goodies. Here you see the ones in the front cabinet.
I think this cabinet speaks for itself. I love the birds. Look at the glass bowl on the left lower shelf. It is a beauty.
Offerings here include that great silver platter just waiting for your roasted turkey and the delicate blue vase on the third shelf from the bottom.
A night sky filled with wonders; the pink necklace is truly astounding.
There was such a crush of us in the shop that I couldn't take a picture of the Dollar Rack but thought this doll display above the front cupboard made up for it. I'm told the little white doll is quite precious. I was given her name but do you think I can remember it? Too much partying!
